# 75 Hard Journey: Week 9 — Mastering Your Inner Challenges

Written on

Chapter 1: Progress and Reflections

As I entered Day 57 of the 75 Hard challenge on December 19, 2023, I woke up feeling refreshed after a complete eight hours of sleep. The excitement of nearing the finish line of this journey is palpable. This program has imparted lessons beyond just keeping track of progress photos; it has fostered a deep sense of achievement within me.

At the gym, I noticed I could lift heavier weights across most sets. It’s astonishing how what once felt impossible has become manageable through consistent effort and dedication.

While watching a video by Andy Frisella, he discussed the unique confidence that comes from being the fittest person in a room—a feeling that few experience. I am gradually adopting this mindset, discovering newfound confidence and satisfaction when I look in the mirror. (Not to brag, but it reflects the hard work I’ve put in.)

Tomorrow promises to be eventful, with a body scan at the gym and a complimentary session with a trainer to refine my workout techniques. I look forward to the updates on my progress.

In this video, Andy Frisella shares essential tips and insights for successfully navigating the 75 Hard program.

Section 1.1: Day 58 - New Insights

On December 20, 2023, I arrived at the gym early for my body scan and some training tips from a coach. The scan yielded encouraging results, and the trainer provided valuable advice. Still, I find comfort in working out alone. However, I acknowledge that a few targeted sessions might help me enhance my progress after I finish the 75 Hard challenge. Our session consisted of a 45-minute full-body workout.

Following that, I rushed off to a board meeting for my company, Tier Level, which went exceptionally well. I’m excited about the potential for another year of growth for our main venture.

This afternoon, I completed my Ruck session and then hurried home to take my daughter to her guitar lesson. With friends visiting and school on break for Christmas, the atmosphere is lively and joyful.

Subsection 1.1.1: Day 59 - Keeping the Momentum

With just four days left until Christmas, I am fully committed to my workouts, driven by determination. The primary challenge is managing my schedule and ensuring I allocate enough time for each workout. Nonetheless, the satisfaction of completing them is unparalleled.

The mental clarity and focus I’m gaining are beyond words. This program is undoubtedly a test of mental resilience, reshaping my mindset in profound ways.

Section 1.2: Day 60 - Holiday Preparations

On December 22, 2023, I dedicated the day to finishing up my holiday shopping for my child, something I always tend to procrastinate. While I had completed half of it already, there is a certain gratification in wrapping up the final items amidst the holiday shopping frenzy.

I managed to fit in a gym session in the morning and a Ruck in the evening. Every week, I find myself lifting progressively heavier weights. I’m starting to see my muscles taking shape, but I know the journey is far from over. I’m looking forward to the exciting path ahead!

Chapter 2: Celebrating Progress

Day 61, December 23, 2023, brought a significant realization as I noticed a marked change in my physical appearance. It’s not just how I look; it’s also about how I feel, gaining confidence in both aspects.

I stayed on track with my gym and Ruck sessions today as planned. In between, I dove into three insightful books: “Profit First,” “12 Week Year,” and “The Pumpkin Plan.” These reads are invaluable for any entrepreneur preparing for 2024.

This video chronicles Day 9 of the 75 Hard challenge, showcasing the journey and strategies employed to stay committed.

Section 2.1: Day 62 - Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, I ensured to hit the gym before their 4 p.m. closing time. I completed my outdoor Ruck session and felt great crossing everything off my list. I also wrapped presents from some last-minute Amazon deliveries.

I’m proud of my journey, especially as I find myself on Day 62 of 75 Hard, particularly after my earlier setbacks. It’s an incredibly rewarding experience.

Section 2.2: Day 63 - A Grateful Christmas

On December 25, 2023, Christmas Day didn’t mean taking a break. With the gym closed, I focused on two Rucks. Though the evening grew colder, we enjoyed brunch with neighbors and watched the new Aquaman movie.

It turned out to be a wonderful Christmas, and I’m genuinely grateful for the gift of health. The ability to continue with 75 Hard, just weeks away from completion, feels immensely fulfilling.

In exciting news, I’ve now weighed in at under 260 pounds—an achievement worth celebrating!
