A Memorable Farewell: Embracing Life's Adventures

Chapter 1: Embracing Change
As I sit down to write this, you may wonder why I refer to these days as my last, despite planning a 26-day stay and being only on the 17th day. Life has a way of throwing curveballs, and I've chosen to cut my trip short. Nonetheless, before I say goodbye to this beautiful place, let’s delve into the events of my second-to-last day!

Thursday, September 21st: The Last Splash of Joy
I woke up around 11 AM. Yes, it’s late, but I decided to enjoy my time in bed until noon—after all, I’m here now, and the future is uncertain. Once I got up, I grabbed some protein-packed yogurt from the fridge and began writing about my final day. After finishing, I felt it was time for some eggs.
The weather was exceptionally pleasant, and since I hadn’t explored Thessaloniki yet, I decided to take a stroll around the city. After getting ready, I set off to uncover its hidden gems.
The walk took me about 30 minutes and covered approximately 2 kilometers as I headed toward the sea to visit the iconic White Tower.

During my journey, I encountered some fascinating sights, including the Forum Romanum, which appeared to be undergoing renovations, limiting access at that moment (I’m not sure if it will be open in the future), but I took a moment to appreciate its surroundings.

My route to the tower passed through a lovely park where people lounged on the grass and chatted, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
I continued my walk along the waterfront, marveling at the sea's beauty. The gentle breeze stirred up delicate waves, while the sun shone brightly, enhancing the picturesque setting. I felt a profound connection to the sea—perhaps I have a bond with it from a previous life.

As I wandered by the shore, I noticed a few boats nearby. My curiosity piqued, I approached one, where a welcoming woman informed me that I could board for free, provided I purchased a drink. It sounded like a delightful spur-of-the-moment adventure, so I eagerly hopped on the boat.
The ride lasted about 40 minutes, filled with great music and a charming ambiance. The views from the boat were breathtaking, and I relished every moment of this unexpected excursion.
While on board, I found myself reflecting on life:
“I’m in a foreign country, where no one knows my whereabouts, yet that doesn’t matter because I’m relishing life, fully present in this moment.”
In that instant, I recognized what I truly desire: to embrace spontaneity, explore the world, and savor every experience as if there were no tomorrow. And who cares if I’m alone? I’m never truly alone, as I always have myself.

Though my journey is nearing its end, which brings a touch of sadness, I am hopeful that I will travel again soon, working towards a life of endless adventures. This aspiration is mine alone, and no one can take it from me. I live for the thrill of travel.
After returning from my walk, I didn’t do much else. I wrote an article titled “How to be Brave and Fearless,” and then, exhausted, I went to bed.
