A Fresh Look: Why It's Never Too Late for a Haircut!

Chapter 1: The Need for Change
In light of an upcoming writing workshop I’ve been invited to lead, I realized it was time for a haircut. Here’s a glimpse of the “before” look:
Here's another angle, capturing that same unkempt style:
All these snapshots were clicked by my wife. It’s amusing to note that I typically get a haircut only about three or four times a year. I can’t pinpoint why I delay it. Previously, it was a matter of finances; I simply didn’t have the extra cash to spare on my appearance.
While I’m still not rolling in money, I do have a little more to play with now. I should definitely make it a point to visit the barber more often. Each time, I leave feeling revitalized and like a brand new person. Yet, sometimes I struggle with the notion of whether I deserve such efforts.
Perhaps it’s time to shift that mindset. Here are the “after” shots:
Before I head downstairs to tackle my evening shift—this being my sixth consecutive one—I have a small request for you all. As spring approaches, treat yourself to a haircut. You’ll be amazed at how rejuvenated you feel!
In response to a couple of comments here, I’d like to share a personal anecdote.
Section 1.1: A Memory from the Past
I once embraced the Telly Savalas look for a time. This particular photo dates back to when I worked in a furniture factory, operating a double-bladed tablesaw that resembled something out of a Mad Max film. We affectionately dubbed it “The Death Machine.” It spat out wood chunks so quickly that I had to don a welding helmet while running it. This was around the year 2000, and during those sweltering summers, I shaved my head for three years straight.
It’s a bit grainy, so I appreciate your understanding.
Section 1.2: For True Crime Enthusiasts
And for those interested in true crime stories, here’s a little product placement:
